Viva Mexico Taqueria - Palisades Park

The food is not that bad, what is bad are the salads and guacamole. They almost always look like they have been stored for a long time. Guacamole is supposed to be green, right? The same with lettuce.

The place is cozy and has super friendly staff.I ordered mixed tacos, they were delicious! Perhaps the waiting time is a little long, however, I understand that it is because they do everything at the moment and the truth is, if it was super fresh, therefore it is worth it.I will return without a doubt.?

Horrible service. I ordered my food, it never arrived. I called them and they said they don't have a driver and I would have to go there for my refund! Never again. If I wouldn't have called them I would still be waiting. Horrible customer service!!!!

Food is good and not too pricey. The only recommendation is to order way ahead of when you want the food. They take upwards of 25 minutes to prepare order.

Being from Colorado now and visiting NJ, there were zero Mexican restaurants when I grew up in NJ back decades ago. So, at the end of our trip, we figured, why not? Let’s try a Mexican place close to Newark since we were flying out of there. This place was very good, had decent salsas red and green, guacamole was on point, and our meals were good. The chicken and carne asada were a bit under marinated, but that is not uncommon for a basic place. Service was very good, menu has many choices. Looked like they do a huge delivery service as many orders were flying out the door. If you want a decent local New Jersey Mexican place (who knew? give it a try.
