Very friendly waitress slow service. great coffee. breakfast options minimal. es bagels with avocado really delicious. easy position to get. decor minimal hard chairs for sitting
My favourite place in oxford for tea, the staff are lovely, it has a range of interesting teas and really good cake. It's not cheap, but you gets what you pay for and i'll happily fork out for a good pot of oolong and a slice of home-made apple pie any day.
A great choice of leaf teas and breakfasts ranging from full English, to tasty buttermilk pancakes. With seasonal lunch options, and high quality cream teas, the helpful and friendly staff will do their best to allocate you a table in this often busy establishment. In summary, a good place to treat yourself, family and friends, or your visitors to Oxford. And if you start or finish your visit with one of the fine teas (the House Tea is my favourite you will likely find, that The Rose is in a class of its own.
Rated by The Guardian, The Times, yahoo travel etc. I had to check it out for myself. I was very happy I did. Best tea scones in Oxford. One of the best in UK. Superb food and friendly, helpful staff. I am a regular now, and I take my friends family. It is a small place very popular so can be busy at peak times. I personally think being small it feels more comfy warm. So people who feel more at home in a Burger king or McDonald's probably won't appreciate this gem.
