The Anchor Inn Oxford

I like to try the anchor as it is a good favorable location. service is ok, but can often appear disorganized: my pint of 6x from the bar took ages. the menu (at least on a Sunday) is limited (and unchanged from when I went before some weeks). eating was ok, but good over £20 for a chickenburger and a pint (and a service fee) is on the steep side, also in these post-lockdown days

Very nice ambience eating outdoors under shelter and with good heaters, but waited a long time for food and it wasn’t all that good! The menu descriptions sounded nice, but the reality was food that wasn’t very tasty, was too bland and in some cases, like the kebab, there was so little salad that it shouldn’t have even been mentioned!

As ever, very good fish and chips. Warm outdoor lunch area. Good value for money

Very good place, elegant, quiet, spacious. Booking process straight forward and welcoming staff. The Sunday Roast was amazing and dessert choice very good recommended!

Eating was good, although I send my back to be warmed up, but service was something missing
