To top it off, we also got some apple and blackberry flapjacks to go. The prices were reasonable and the portions were satisfying.
Manager unwilling to serve me coffee (to go) with perfectly behaved dogs on the lead. Was unaware this was the policy and had previously been served in Taylors without issue. Disappointing but happily there are many other coffee shops in Oxford!
We had a great experience having lunch at Taylors, which has two locations at each end of the High Street. They offer a variety of freshly made sandwiches with a wide selection of fillings, as well as build-your-own salad boxes and delicious cakes. Coffee lovers will appreciate that they use illy beans, making it one of the best options around. One of the branches has a charming alleyway with six outdoor tables, perfect for enjoying an al fresco lunch on a nice day.
Although this place used to carry much more variety, it still vows to serve good quality food. The Samosas are good but pretty oily. The pecan tart is awesome!
We made a quick stop to grab a coffee and cake before doing some Christmas shopping. The selection was great and the food was delicious. Although there was no seating, it didn't bother us since we were on our way to the Covered Market. It was the perfect pit stop.
