Great place, looks really nice, food was good, dessert was amazing, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
When the Marco Pierre Restaurant has closed, this is an outdated review. I wasn't with those 'Keepers'. It was my partner and I'm 3 years anniversary, and as last minute (so I know) booking, we decided to go this restaurant as one of the last places we haven't been in Oxford. What a great decision that was! I had made a request for the booking that it was our anniversary and put us so far away from children (not a child) and they put us in a beautiful small corner of the room and put small candles and felt hearts on the table, absolutely beautiful. Our waitress was so nice and wonderful for us. She was beautiful and professional and chatting, but not too much above the top. The menu inside was a bit different from the online, but there was no trouble getting the food I wanted. Our food was excellent and even for a Friday the waiting times were fast and not unpleasant at all. Even better is that there was a 20% discount we didn't know, and we had a dessert for free. Honestly, you can't go wrong when someone goes beyond and beyond to make memories. We will always remember this restaurant and will try to go to Oxford and beyond!
Excellent food and drinks experience late on a Sunday evening. We turned up at 8.45pm just before the kitchen closed but nothing was too much trouble for the happy and friendly staff. We had some nice cocktails and other drinks. The food menu is broad and quite eclectic which we liked. For example my wife had Pork loin with green vegetables and I had a nice and very fresh fatoush salad with hot smoked salmon.
Three stars is describing just the mix I experienced here. Pro: The interior is nice with the bee 'Keepers ' theme all around in the form of drawings on the wall and honeycomb shapes on the wall. Interior felt like a plus. Con: We went for cocktails and were let down a little. In terms of equipment they were well prepared. Barkeeper pre-chilled the glassware with ice and so on. However the quality of the final cocktails wasn 't nice. Mostly sweet without a good balance of flavors. Their 'Mai Tai ' would probably make all the tiki people around faint. With a poorly cut, sad lemon slice to top it all up. In total good atmosphere but poor drinks.
