Asian Mama - Oxford

Recently went for dinner and ordered a curry, rice and a side. The food was tasty, but the staff cold and rude. When I sat down, was told immediately to pay on ordering and when I ordered more, was asked to pay again at the moment in the middle of my meal. A real shame was once a superb restaurant with welcoming staff.

Extremely poor experience with rude, cold staff. A shame, because the food was nice, albeit a far cry from the standard that the restaurant used to be.

This was our first time ordering from Asian Mama. The food arrived 45 min ahead of the start of the time window we had specified, which was very inconvenient. When I called to ask why, the explanation given was that there was only one driver working tonight, but that's not really a satisfactory excuse. Most of the food was ok, though we weren't ready, so it was a bit cold and the satay tofu was soggy by the time we got to eat it. The prawn crackers were inedible, they had a strange taste, I suspect they were cooked in oil that had been used too many times. Very disappointed overall

We use Asian Mama a lot, particularly for take out, but have also dined there. The food is good value and delicious. The restaurant is simple and has all the more charm for that.

This is a great little place we ate in and the food was great, Iwe had a duck and pancakes that was really tasty and just wonderfull the sweet and sour belly pork was beautifully cooked and the sauce was lovely all in all this was a great find just a note there are very few tables but it's worth trying.
