Mikes Place Family - Oshkosh

We stopped in for supper and they didn't have many people working and a lot of customers but the waitress was good and never made us wait for order

This little diner has been around for a long time, has a strong following of regulars and I always love going there! Many of the employees have been there for 15+ years and the breakfast cook just celebrated her 30th anniversary with the restaurant! The food is very basic, no gluten free anything here or flavored creamer but everything is served with a smile and usually comes out super fast! A server at a different popular breakfast place told me Mike's has the best biscuits and gravy in town. Also Mike's has bacon with chocolate chip pancakes and a delicious Mexican breakfast wrap. I frequent many of the breakfast joints in town and this is by far the friendliest! It is one big family here between the customers and the wait staff and you will often find them exchanging stories and catching up with what has been going on in their lives. It is also a popular place for out of towners when they visit Oshkosh and I know the restaurant really looks forward to these special events guests. Another thing I love is that Mike's Place has the best prices in town and truly cares about their patrons. On Saturdays and Sundays it is not unusual for them to have a line to the door so get there early!

Went in and sat down. Waited for a waitress .all were standing up by the counter talking. Been going there for years and this is the worst we have been treated. They should be fired. We just got up. And left

The pancakes were not great. Weird aftertaste. Told the lady at checkout (possibly the owner) and she goes sorry about that and that was it. Figured they would comp the pancakes as I only took 1 bite out of the 2 pancakes. Eggs weren’t great either. Honestly, probably won’t ever come back. It was my first time coming here and probably the last.

If you're looking for a great chicken dinner and reasonable prices this is the place to go. Best chicken and chocolate malts in town. Friendly staff. And good prices
