I'm a big fan of Lebanese food, so Little Lebanon has long been on my reading list. I went there on Sunday night with a group of friends and...
We,a group of seven, ordered the $25 banquet option. We were told it would be an hour to prepare which we agreed to as we had plenty of drinks (its BYO). We were ushered out the back to an area that has lounge type seating with heaps of room. The banquet arrived and was excellent. Great kebabs, salads, dips, breads etc. We could not eat it all and had to take home enough for 2 more meals. Great if your in no rush with a busy happy vibe.
We were there on a Saturday night in July and loved it. To me it was just like being in a restaurant in the Middle East: just about everyone was middle eastern in appearance, there were loads of families and it was absolutely packed. It was great to be somewhere completely different. It was also a bit chaotic which I felt added to the atmosphere! The food was sensational. Buffet was by far the most popular option and seemed great value but we opted for a la carte. We both had the gourmet platter and the meat and prawns were marinated beautifully. We finished off with baklava which was also lovely. Belly dancer was a surprise. She was good but for me the music was a bit too loud - but I wouldn't expect anything different from the Middle East! I think if you go expecting it to be a western restaurant you'll be disappointed. If you go expecting it to be what it is you'll have a fantastic evening. Booking on Saturday is a must.
