They wanted to make sure they were open on Sunday and get the hours. We came at 5:15 a.m. after our 30-mile ride, starve! While we locked our bikes and brought our legs back, did I hear a lady inside say? are they coming in? After fixing my helmet hair etc. I go in to say from a Lord that they simply closed their kitchen?. I was shocked? 5:15 o'clock!!! The beginning of the meal! He turned around, didn't tell customers and led us to the Mexican place. The Mexican place was vacant when we arrived, but they served dinner. Guess what 22bistro? The Mexican place was occupied at 5:30? because it's dinner time? I hope the owner is aware of the syllable. I should have read the other reviews. Sounds like their big menu is not available year round, and service is bad. I guess we'll never know.
Words will not do justice for the impeccable service that we received from Josh during a time when it was closed by a shop that closed the hill. He was attentive, cheerful and motivated to offer an excellent customer experience. Josh and his team dominated the rush and let us in and out in no time. As a distillery manager, I'd kill for an employee as big as he did. Whatever you have to do to keep him, do it.
If you're looking for a party place after skiing, that's all. Have fun, but you know that it will be super busy, so keep that in mind. Food is standard American Bar food. Margaritas were made right and tastefully delish.
The most crazy food experience we've had for years. Here with a group on our ski tour. While the party was a little big, we had an incessantly complicated meal. First, the waiter asked us if we wanted to order several times after we had actually ordered! We waited over 50 minutes to get our food, finally get the wrong orders several times. Several dishes never arrived. When a person got the wrong order and didn't have the belief that the right order came, she took a bite and felt very bad about apparently eating the bartender's sandwich. Said bartender screamed over the room, who eats a strange sandwich? That was my lunch, and his colleague came by to tell us that he was very sad. (Confused why the person was given the wrong meal to feel guilty? No single member of the staff was helpful or accommodating. When the Entrees finally arrived, another member of the party was told what they ordered was not available (at this point placed the order 3 times. Both our table and the strangers beside us were charged for our meal. We were returned to our bill after a short warfare with the waitress. The reason we were given was that things were 'chaotic'. The restaurant was at 15% capacity.
22 Bistro, in my opinion, has always been one of the better dining options in the Squaw Valley Village Palisades Tahoe Village. Their current menu features a good number of small dishes appetizers, and gastro pub type food including sandwiches, sliders, tacos, and more. The food is tasty and also reasonably priced, especially when compared to other choices on the mountain. Unfortunately, this, just like all other restaurants in the area, is impacted by understaffing issues leading to early closures and drops in quality.
