restaurant du minervois bel - Olonzac

This week was our second visit to this restaurant and unfortunately, again, the food was disappointing but in particular, it lacked seasoning. The pork chop we ordered had a huge piece of inedible fat as did the lamb. Asking for salt and pepper on both...visits seemed to be a problem and took ages to be brought to the table. Ordering another bottle of wine arrives within a minute. This is the only restaurant open in Olonzac on a Tuesday and it was half empty which is a shame as it’s a beautiful setting. The service was OK on our second visit but poor on our first. Won’t be returning anytime soon.

Our meal was truly special. When the chef was informed that we were four vegetarians who did not eat meat, poultry, or seafood he/she was ok with preparing a fine vegetarian dinner. Our meal included a cup of tasty gazpacho, a delightful and multi-colored...salad and a main dish of roasted and nicely seasoned vegetables surrounded with dashes and splashes of red and yellow puréed garnishes. Our wine was good and since we were content with a slow leisurely meal, did not expect rapid service from our waitress. Overall we were happy with our meal and would have no hesitation of recommending Le Bel Minervois to others.

Everything about this place is awesome. Nice outdoor seating, amazing food a nd great south France hospitality.

We’ve eaten here regularly for several years. The cooking is fantastic and although there was no choice for the midday lunch , it was all extremely good. Well presented in their lovely courtyard, perfect for a sunny day. Lovely staff and glad we tried it...out again this year . Thank you Jane Jellicoe

Nous avons pris le menu à 32€. La mise en bouche, un gaspacho de melon, était originale et correcte. La bonne surprise s'est arrêtée la. Nous avons demandé conseil pour le vin et on nous a amené un vin de coopérative mauvais (alors que la région regorge de très bons vins à prix corrects, même de coopérative...). On nous a ensuite servi un foie gras qui était très pâle et avait plus goût à alcool qu'à foie gras.Le plat était un magret, coriace et pas à la cuisson demandée, accompagné de légumes insipides et pas de saison.Ont suivi 3 fromages de supermarché affinés en réfrigérateur.Pour finir, nous avons pris un baba au rhum et une crème caramel, dessert qui n'étaient pas mauvais mais n'avaient rien d'extraordinaire.À aucun moment on ne nous a demandé si quoi que ce soit était bon ou s'était bien passé.Le personnel semblait tout à fait conscient que les clients étaient insatisfaits par l'ensemble de la prestation. Cerise sur le gâteau, l'apparente tranquillité du patio a été entachée par des crottes d'oiseau dans nos assiettes...
