La Mansion - Tuxtla Gutierrez

I have visited this restaurant a few times before, but this time I was a bit disappointed. The bruschetta starter, which I usually enjoy, was lacking in mushrooms. They were just regular mushrooms, not the amazing wild mushrooms they have had in the past. I was surprised. The pasta was overly salty and dry. The fried calamari and prawns were also too salty. The quality of the ingredients used in the dishes is generally very high. In their defense, we dined there right after a holiday weekend, so maybe things were a bit off. This experience won't deter us from returning, as we hope it was just a one-time issue rather than the standard.

We had a pleasant dining experience and most of the dishes were delicious. The only item I wasn't a fan of was the prime rib. It was seared in a fajita pan and ended up being overcooked.

Family-friendly atmosphere, excellent cuts of meat, attentive service. It is truly a pleasure to eat there, the ambiance is relaxing as it should be for a great experience. Highly recommended.

La Marea was a pleasant surprise. We don't frequent the area often and the restaurants there are average. La Marea is from the Westchester area, where there are many options to choose from, and it definitely stands out in that category. The food was exceptional, and the restaurant had a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. We can't praise it enough. You really need to experience it for yourself.
