Osteria Ohakune

We ate at Osteria based on local recommendations and had a number of options, almost all pastas could be done gf, the Risottos were gf and there was a gf pizza base, as well as main dish selection. Just a few dessert options. My celiac and I ate both Risotto who were excellent. My Zöliakie daughter had a Margarita-Gf pizza, she said that the base was a bit diligent, but otherwise yummy, and they kept it separate from the pizza of my other non-Zöliakie daughter when we asked to take the left remnants away. I felt safe to eat there and we had no aftereffects.

No gluten-free information on the menu, but many options available and helpful and knowledge staff. Excellent food. We had the beef cakes delicious!

Ended up driving here from the national park in search of a good meal. My first option was closed for the holidays, but this place was open and had a couple good reviews. We put a to-go order for some pasta and the staff informed the kitchen and marked everything gluten free. It was so delicious! They did advise to avoid the pizza though, but said pasta would be safe.

The staff were very knowledgeable and very happy to help I had great confidence eating there and the gluten free pasta tasted great.
