The host and staff were excellent, ensuring that our group felt welcomed and unhurried. We enjoyed a wide variety of dishes since we were a large group on a set menu, and everything was delightful. The meal began with a beautiful selection of salads and meats, followed by traditional meatballs and melted cheese served with bread. Then we had a selection of pizzas; the staff kindly adjusted the bases to create special pizzas for a couple of people who couldn’t eat tomatoes. Next came the pasta, and the potato gnocchi was simply divine—traditional and bursting with flavor, complemented by an amazing sauce. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience!
A little slice of Naples in Oatley, this charming eatery is run by a young couple from Naples who truly capture the essence of their hometown in every bite. The pasta, although not listed on the menu, is a delightful surprise that changes weekly to reflect seasonal ingredients—just like in Italy! The pizza is remarkably authentic, featuring a thin center that isn't soggy, with just the right amount of toppings and a beautifully burnt crust that’s infused with wood smoke. THE CRUST! It's undoubtedly the best in the Shire, and likely the best in all of Sydney. Every other dish we tried was prepared with equal care and attention. However, the highlight of our visit wasn't just the incredible food; it was the staff. The owner, who also served us, was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Throughout our meal, multiple staff members—almost all of whom were Italian—stopped by to check on us and ensure we were enjoying ourselves. Even as we left, every staff member, from the dishwasher to the pizza chef, expressed their gratitude. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!
Had an amazing entree with cheese melted in tomato sauce, the Italian style bread was to die for. Pizza was good, very traditional Italian style. Tiramisu desert was good, bit too creamy, tiara part was great.Staff were great and very friendly
However, I found the food prices to be rather high. For instance, the spaghetti di mare was $30 but came with just a few small shrimp and calamari, and the portion size felt a bit small for the price. The bisque was decent but not quite as rich or flavorful as I had hoped. On the plus side, the service was quick, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, it’s a lovely establishment that makes you feel welcome.
