The coffee may not be anything special, but the food is excellent, with breakfast options exceeding expectations. Don't forget to check out the supplies available at the mini supermarket in the store as well.
Great place for those with special diets and for those who only want to eat clean. Great salads, sweet treats.
We had breakfast at the Primal Pantry branch on Given Terrace in Paddington. It was quiet on a Sunday morning for a reason. Although I am not a fan of Paleo, I was happy to step outside my comfort zone. However, the food was bland and lukewarm, and I was not impressed with the service and environment. The tables were not clean, and my son's poached eggs were overcooked. My Broccoli fritters were gritty, indicating unwashed vegetables and herbs. It was ironic that a café promoting "clean" food would serve such quality. When my son asked for more bread, he had to wait 15 minutes before finally receiving it, which seemed to be covered in kitchen waste. The delays and issues with our meals were not due to the chef, as the staff seemed overwhelmed with a few tables. In conclusion, the meals were not cheap, and it was not worth tolerating poor service and questionable hygiene practices.
Well, this is actually the first place where my complaint is about the fact that the seats are really unpleasant. I came here to try out their coffee and spend some time tapping on my laptop and discovering that the seats here were quite shocking. Actually, it really made it difficult to actually use my laptop. Okay, these were the high seats next to the benches and as soon as a normal table was released, I pulled right to this, but that's the one that really stuck in my head. The coffee was okay, and the staff was nice too.
My best friend and I caught up for a coffee last week and we wanted to try one of the local cafes in my area. The Primal Pantry was the closest so we went there. I was so impressed by the man who served us...and I was equally impressed that they make their own coconut and almond milk as well as supporting local dairies for their cows milk. It is in a good location for morning coffee as we got to sit in the wonderful winter morning sunshine. The coffee was delightful, so I will certainly be back.
