My daughter and I went to the old Arnotts Biscuits factory in Homebush, Sydney for a look around. It's amazing how a precinct can be developed!! Evening was approaching, so we decided to stay on for a meal. After unable to get into a steakhouse, we settled into this Japanese restaurant. The waitress was very prompt, menus were in our hands before we sat down. We were really amazed with the prices - way over the usual eateries. We selected three dishes. Afraid that it was not enough for two, since the waitress was still waiting... we added 2 more. The plates came, tempura, sushi, sashimi, California rolls.. And the yakitori came in a large bowl with rice underneath. Just the yakitori was good enough as a meal by itself. The bill came to be $96.50 not including drinks. I would consider it pricey by suburban standards. But, if you were to take away the 2 additional dishes we added later, it would be just sufficient, let along feeling sorry that so much food was wasted.
Whilst not crowded on a Saturday night, the wait for service was too long. Staff had to be chased up to bring wine glasses then again to open the wine -- which was met with leaving the corkscrew at the table for a real do it yourself experience. Watch the wagyu - the menu is not really clear - you have to order two serves minimum so it will double the price on the menu. The food was not properly cut into portions - we had large pieces of chicken that we had to cut ourselves to share around the table. Other than that the food was fresh and tasty and the price was reasonable.
Went there the first time and it took an hour for the food to come out for two people. Went there the second time and the same thing happened, the food is good but given how long it takes, I am not sure its all that worth the hassle. And when the food came out, the forgot one dish, in fact, we were a party of four and all three people had finished their food and the fourth person's food still hadn't come out. There is only one sushi chef so sushi orders are very very very slow.We paid for tea and they never left a pot for us on the table and whenever we wanted a refill, it took forever, the tea cups are small little tea cups that can be drunk in two sips, they should have left a pot for us.Its not cheap either.I really don't recommend going to this place if you want an enjoyable dining experience, it was overall really ****. Would never ever go back again.

However, if we had not added the extra dishes, it would have been just enough without any food going to waste.
