Ivan's Cookhouse - North Miami Beach

The best breakfast and dinner I have had out in a while. Great Service! Hummus plantains were good. Steak was excellent! Very tender cooked to perfection. Our son ate the french toast for breakfast and wanted to come back for more so we did a couple more times so we tried lunch and breakfast as well as dinner and it was all awesome. Ivan is not a chef to us as we regard him and Alex as friends as well. This is a cool little restaurant and Ivan usually comes out to visit with his guests when he is not busy preparing his next masterpiece.

Try Ivan 's 'ginger mint ice tea. ' I loved it. Place is GREAT, food is delicious, price is affordable. We didn 't have to wait long to be seated. The waiters were friendly and we were served quickly. The main dinning room is a little small in my opinion but there are a few tables outside as well. This was my 2nd trip there and will definitely go again. I 'd go more often if it wasn 't more than 1 hour away. Great place for casual and social dining... family friendly. I wouldn 't recommend it for business meetings. Overall, you won 't be disappointed.

The whole experience was delightful!!!! Our waiter Jorge gave A plus service !!! The food was phenomenal and Ivan's punch was delicious!!! I am going again soon. I highly recommend this restaurant you would not be disappointed!!!!

We have been there twice , and both times it was good food. great environment, good service. We also loved the live music on Friday nights. TIP: it would be nice to get a Haitian performer to add some spice to the restaurant.
