Great coffee! I tried the cappuccino, and it was excellent—very well made at Updike's.

The restaurant roasts its own coffee, and the flavors are outstanding, with a unique smokiness that sets it apart from others. As someone who only drinks decaf, I was pleasantly surprised by how rich and well-roasted it tasted. I believe this spot would thrive in a more walkable area of Wickford, as they deserve the foot traffic and would benefit from being more accessible. This place truly knows what they're doing, and it shows in the quality of their offerings.

This is the best spot for a delicious coffee and an engaging story! I’ve never had a bad cup here; it’s always just how I like it. It’s a great place for city residents to get a feel for what our local and state community has to offer.

It is an inconceivable place on the post road, surrounded by strip mall style commercial space, but updike 's is cozy and welcoming on the inside and the coffee is spectacular. I personally love the mud slide ice cream with espresso. once I went in the winter and said: I want a drink that tastes like Christmas, and the girl behind the theke delivered exactly that! maybe even better than the coffee is the service. everyone who works there is so friendly it is a really beautiful wise to begin their day!
