The Cat Stop - Norris Point, NL

So glad we took the opportunity to stop in at Norris point. Unfortunately our boat tour at gross morne was canceled so we should have taken this opportunity but we decided to just enjoy the sights and have a nice lunch. Reasonable service and good food. What a great place to eat outside.

Great spot to sit and listen to wonderful music by the water. Good beer.

While we were here having lunch with our toddler in august, there were 3 servers working that day. 2 looked like they could be related, one older and one younger. Maybe one was named Nikita ? . These 2 ladies were so rude towards the other. I have never seen such disrespect and bullying towards another server in any restaurant that I’ve been to. At one point, the younger girl threw a wet rag at the server and told her to “go clean the table”. Making fun of her and talking about her when she left the room. We felt so uncomfortable and just wanted to get out of there. I felt so bad for the other server…I hope she quit.

We had poutine and seafood chowder here, both are very good. Good service too.

Feels a bit like the end of the world, which, given that it 's on a pier where you can catch a ferry to somewhere else (Woody Point , is (at least locally true. Decent beer selection. The kitchen closes early (19:00 , I never managed to catch a bite to eat so cannot comment on this. And the music can be loud (and the sound goes up wonderfully along the sloped ceiling, so you are not safe upstairs ; . Beautiful view from the patio.
