Fisherman's Landing - Rocky Harbour

The seafood selection at Greco was good and fresh, but the pizza was terrible. The staff were helpful.

This restaurant is a casual family diner with a focus on classic dishes. I ordered the fisherman plate and my partner had the cod tongues. We also sampled two different pies. Overall, the food was delicious, although I personally did not enjoy the apple pie. The staff was extremely friendly. The beer selection is limited, with 1892 (from Quidi Vidi) being the most unique option available.

I ordered fish and chips for takeout and it was absolutely delicious! What else is there to say?! It came with utensils, ketchup, tartar sauce, vinegar, salt, and pepper - everything you could possibly need. I bet it would be even more enjoyable to dine in, but the takeout option worked well for me. As for parking, it was easy to find and easy to park. Perfect.

Had the pea and ham soup and it was amazing. It was very busy when we went so naturally it took a while for the food to come but was well worth the wait.

We have been traveling for three weeks and this was easily the worst and most disappointing meal we have had. We were fooled by the lineup out the door waiting for a table, assuming this was a good place to eat. We were told that it would be 20-25 minutes, but instead ended up waiting 40 plus minutes...waiting would have been no big deal if the food was good. All our take out items arrived, except for the chicken burger, and were placed on the counter, which seemed a little odd. We are used to take out orders being placed nicely in a bag once everything is ready to easily transport home but we had to make a request for a bag then had to pack it up ourselves. A short drive to our place and we quickly identified a few issues. The orders of fish chowder were extremely small maybe it was put in the wrong container? for the price $15 and lacked taste. The items in the soup were shredded? Also the bun that came with it was stale. Next up was the moose burger, this was probably the best of the items but was quite dry, cold and the bun was soggy. The biggest issue was the chicken burger. After a few bites we soon realized the bun was moldy. We called the restaurant right away to advise them of this problem. Instead of receiving any sort of apology the person on the phone seemed somewhat annoyed to be bothered with this problem. They did say, after being asked, that they would make a new one. So we drive back and picked up the new non moldy one. When we were there, we were not offered any refund or anything to make up for this problem which I thought was standard practice . Thankfully the new non moldy burger tasted good.We will not be back!
