Sanctuary - Norfolk

Loved the vibe of this spot. The staff was friendly and engaging. We wanted to love the food, but it fell just a little short on flavor and the hard taco shells seemed a bit stale. Definitely will give it another try though. I had the taco bowl and loved that I could customize it how I wanted.Food: 3/5

A friend brought me here to show me her favorite place to get lunch, and I agree: it's amazing. The Sanctuary shell taco with bbq chicken that I got was absolutely delicious, as was the margarita. The atmosphere felt good and the bartender was friendly and fast. I'm definitely going back and bringing more people with me to show them my new favorite place downtown. :

Bea was my server, she was awesome.Great atmosphere, good music, and good tacos. The Tati's sauce is great! It would be better with a basket of chips though.This review would get 5 stars if a basket of tortilla or similar chips were available. This would be a great menu addition given that it's a bar that serves tacos.Parking: Some street parking available. There is also a paid lot opposite the restaurant.

It had good reviews and wanted to try it out and I am glad we did. The tacos were awesome and the honey habanero sauce hit the spot! Definitely would come back!Food: 5/5

Truly enjoyed my time at Sanctuary. I had beef tacos and 2 Stonners Punch!! I was very pleased when I left and look forward to going back!! Great prices and great service! I called my friend to join me and she enjoyed a Puprle Haze!!!Food: 5/5
