Jikoni Cafe At The House Of Consciousness

I wish they could order ahead, but I don't understand that everyone can do that. had their nachos and they were delicious. I try the pizza and pasta next!

Passing through Norfolk a bit after 7pm and there was a beacon in the night! Jikoni Cafe was the ONLY vegan restaurant open and we were so happy to find it! The woman who helped us was super nice and we ordered the Nacho Supreme and a full Major Jikoni Kush Pocket, the portions are huge!! The Rasta sauce that came with our sandwich was mind-blowingly delicious, I put it on everything! I will definitely be back for the nachos and rasta sauce next time we're in town. Amazing variety of vegan comfort foods. Hard to choose!

The menu was small but had diverse options, most based on the kush grain as its base. The restaurant doubles as an African-culture bookstore and general store with really cool art and info-posters about the continent's history and people. Overall the food was good but not great.
