Guy Fieri's Smokehouse - Norfolk

Not one for fade restaurants, but this one kept his name. Tasty the brisket and my wife the meat. The 18-hour brisket is supposed to die. Melt in you mouth and full taste. The meat was okay. My wife didn't finish it, but it was decent until it got cold. The drinks were great and overall it was not expensive and still had great taste

Food was okay. The guy taking orders was extremely nice. Older gentleman, disabled Army veteran that seems to legitimately enjoy seeing other people happy. If you get him as your cashier, it’s your lucky day. Getting lunch at this restaurant became one of the highlights of my day because of his hospitality.

Nice location, food was good, service was excellent once e finally got seated. The disappointment came from the mac n cheese and blue ribbon chicken. Tasted the brisket and it was not so great. Definitely can't say cheesy mac and cheese. Street corn can hit the curb. Hmmm not what i expected from a spot with Guy's name on it. Try for yourself tho, the burgers were good. Bathroom was clean, and atmosphere looks like it can be a blast when entertainment is on the menu.

It took 45 minutes after eating our calamari (oily) to get our dinner. Both entrees were really delicious though. I had the Blue Ribbon Chicken with sweet cornbread, coleslaw and brussel sprouts with bacon. Oh, so good. My husband ordered the Motley Crue sandwich, smoked pulled pork, cheddar, crispy onions an coleslaw and homemade fries. He was very happy. We noticed the table next to us got their calamari right. Lucky! Ordered a dessert to take home and again it took way too long. The Texas whiskey chocolate cake was okay, too sweet for our taste. The portions on everything we saw was big. I'd just order 1 and share next time. Be prepared too wait and wait some more. Maybe bring some cards to play!
