I would like to share my recent visit. As much as people have raved about this place. I in-fact didnt really enjoy the visit. The calzone was extremely stuffed with pepperoni rarely saw cheese inside or even slight of marinara, the curly fries was dry and unseasoned not even salt, and last but not the best the gyros. I in fact was hoping to see better but it definitely was not tzatziki sauce no did it look fresh. The people were phenomenal and excellent customer service. 2nd visit I emailed back and got instant reply and very respectable, called the restaurant and spoke to ben went back up there, he apologized and remade our order and he did a phenomenal job. I have to say this is our new spot because the quality of the food was amazing. I recommend this restaurant to anyone. 5 out of 5. Amazing amazing and amazing.
I want to express my gratitude to the lady who answered the phone for being efficient and pleasant. Also, thank you to the person who prepared my food - it was perfect and delicious! And a special thank you to the delivery driver for bringing it to me hot and in record time, all while being very pleasant. Although I don't know all of your names, thank you for providing me with the most pleasant ordering experience I've ever had. Thank you!
While I was in Ghana, Africa, a memory popped into my head and I asked my wife about the name of the sub place in Norfolk where we used to order from. During my time stationed in Norfolk, VA on the USS IWO JIMA from 1992 to 1993 and then on the USS WASP from 1993 to 1996, we frequently ordered from Cal's Pizza and Subs. My go-to dishes were the cheese steak sub and Suicide wings, which were hands down the best around. It's been 30 years since then, but they still linger in my thoughts. The next time I'm in the Tidewater area, I'll definitely make a stop to order something for old times' sake. It's great to see that they are still in business, serving the Navy and Virginia.
It has been years since I last visited this restaurant, but I was pleased to see that the service was just as excellent as I remembered. The staff is consistent and treats everyone in a friendly manner. As for the food, you definitely get more than what you pay for. The suicide wings are delicious with a great flavor, but they are very spicy.
