Mecca Bah Brisbane - Newstead

Loved the vibe of Mecca Bah, felt quite fancy. The food was excellent and the service even better. All the staff were so friendly. Will definitely recommend to friends and we'll be back!

Once again a wonderful meal. The food is always delicious, served beautifully. Service is outstanding and the new windows enclosing the restaurant make a big difference, especially with winter coming. Feels a lot cosier and is warmer. Lovely atmosphere .

Most of entrees were cold and I do not think they should have been Poor wine choices Staff helpful but badly presented Really poor food Shame as ambience Ok

Unfortunately a birthday celebration was marred by terrible service. Staff were scarce and needing continual prompting to take orders. Food and drinks took excessive time to arrive even though the restaurant was not busy. VERY disappointing indeed.

We arrived at 8pm. There was a line at the entry but no host. Someone eventually came and after we had given our name and it was crossed off, we were told an earlier booking was still at our table and could we wait 10 minutes. Or sit at a table right at the entry. We had booked more than a week before. We were also asked if we would like the Valentines Day set menu (without being shown it) At this point we were considering finding somewhere else but decided to sit outside on a big table. It was a bit cold and very overlit. We asked for menus, choosing the a la carte one. The food and wine arrived about three different waiters served us. The food was just OK the chicken wings somewhat dry inside and not that spicy. The fried folded triangles were good. The kebabs were just OK but again the beef a bit overcooked. We decided to cut our losses. An underwhelming night that could have been special but it seemed like it was an overwhelming night for the staff who were trying hard. For me the restaurant seems overlit and not the atmosphere it promises.
