Roman chips, ok but hot. Mains consisted of pork belly, Linguine with spanner crab, complaint it was very oily. and Pappardelle, red wine beef ragu, again very good .Service was good, no rush to order they asked how long before u wanted your entrée, waited till that was finished before they started on the main. So u had time to enjoy the meal. Entrée serves as a little slow but mains came out in good time. Overall can not fault the food or the service.Price wise it is certainly on the steeper end. 2 x starters, 4 x drink, 3 x main came to a total of $140.00 for 3.Would I go back, maybe but the price would be prohibitive to a lot of people.
Husband and I have driven past here so many times at lunch/dinner time and it's been packed so we thought we would give it a go for breakfast. Place was completely deserted for 10am on a Sunday compared so other places which was surprising. Was a little disappointed with the limited breakfast menu. Husband got the fritters and I got the hot cakes. Food was ok nothing to rave about, hot cakes were super think so they were abit doughy in the inside. Overall was ok, not bad not great just filled your tum. Don't think I'll be rushing back. Might give them a shot at dinner or lunch.
Menu has changed and now only 2 choices for mains. Nothing looked very appealing but decided on the garlic flat bread for starters and the pork belly pizza for main. Both were lacking flavour and the topping was so sparse it was really dry and parts just not edible....it needed a sauce or something. My partner had the carbonara which we ended up sharing. The service was good so no complaints there.Feeling a bit nervous as we are having our wedding reception here in September.
I went for drinks with my friend and we finally decided to share a pizza. The pizza was good but the size was really small for the price (24$ for plate size pizza). It was really disappointing, Oriental Hotel (Cooks Hill) which has kind of the same pizza (good thin paste and tasty) for 17-18$. The wine was good (red wine, Tempranillo from Chile).
We came here for a family birthday dinner. The restaurant was huge, gorgeous looking. Open fires. Very nice bar if you want to have a relaxing meal and drinks. Loved the drinks menu, the watermelon spritzer was a favourite at our table. Service was good. Food was ok, pizzas were huge. I'll be back to lounge at that gorgeous bar with the girls next time!
