Ole Tapas Lounge & Restaurant - Newark

I have eaten at this restaurant many times before, but this visit was disappointing and did not meet their usual high standards.

Great place! Food, staff, and space were great for our large group.

They served Sangria made using old wine that was sour. Anyone who has ever tasted wine would recognize it immediately. When I returned it, the rude bartender made disparaging remarks he knew we could hear because our table was right by the bar.

The moment we walked in our host/server/bartender/busboy was an entertainer… which is perfect because though I don’t remember his real name he did tell us his “stage name” is Sebastian . In addition to explaining the menu, making excellent recommendations, and providing an overall superb experience… he was attentive, but not over the top. The food was also excellent with plenty of variety for all palates. Bar drinks were varied and delicious with plenty of Spanish ingredients. Dinner was not cheap… but the experience/food were worth every penny. “Fred”, Kathy Chase

We are a group of 12 that regularly dines at Ole Tapas. Food is varied and delicious to meet every need. They always do a great job handling the large group.
