The staff is always helpful and friendly, and their's always an interesting red or white greek wine to try for the first time. Love all the small plates too. But perhaps this is the best recommendation when my mother in law turned 99 this is the restaurant we chose. Worth making the trip to Sheepshead Bay for this lovely place.
There for lunch with friend on a weekday. They offered us a fresh red snapper. When the bill came, they only changed us for a fish 70 plus we had to pay 4,50 for credit card transaction. My bill ends up to 144 for a fish and a Greek salad. That was the biggest break for a weekday dinner! There are so many great restaurants in NY city with lunch specials this place is not worth it!! Be AWARE do not take anything if not listed in the menu that you may end up catching one day!
I visited Yiasou for lunch. It is located in a picturesque location on Emmons Ave, there are walkway tables and you can sit opposite the waterfront. Everything was fresh and tasty: the whole fish (Lavraki/Branzino) of the fried Calamari was perfectly salted and delicate. Fresh Greek salad. the service was very warm and friendly. Would definitely return to this restaurant and recommend it to the family and friends. We went back, it was delicious and the same waiter was very friendly and welcoming.
Great place! Good food, good service, great place to go. Amazing desert, always leave room for the home made flowerless chocolate cake
We have been patrons of Yiasou since it opened its doors. We look to it especially for special occasions this one was my mom's birthday. Keep up the great work, Yiasou!!
