Clearly, if the manager prioritizes her ego over making money, she risks losing both customers and profit. My advice? Skip this absurd establishment and check out any of the many better places in the area. Save yourself time, money, and a headache.
I had the worst Reuben ever. If you enjoy a sandwich that's mostly bread with just a bit of corned beef, then this is the place for you. Also, serving plain, unbuttered, and untoasted bread? Really? This is supposed to be an Irish pub; you can do better than that. And don’t expect any soda refills unless you're willing to pay extra. Truly disappointing.
Nice local Irish pub. Wanted onion soup and shepherds pie and they had both. And both were delicious. It was also quiet in the later evening hours, which was nice.Food: 5/5
I am a real Irish Pub fan and Triple Crown is one I can recommend without reservation. The atmosphere is loud and chaotic as you would expect of a place with great food and well placed near NY Penn Station for tourist trade and regulars alike. The bar service is superior. I love an opinionated Barkeep who recognizes a foodie when faced with one and isn't shy about making his best picks on the menu known. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.
The bar staff were quite rude and had American accents, making them seem unprofessional in their interaction with paying customers. However, the blonde Irish lady who works in the outdoor area was fantastic—definitely a 5-star experience! I wouldn't recommend stopping by the Triple Crown for a drink; it's better to find a place where you can enjoy a pint with friendly people. Food rating: 1/5.
