Hama Japanese - New York

The sushi at this restaurant was just OK. We ordered sushi for two and it cost us around $50. The quality of the sushi was decent, but nothing extraordinary. The service was average, as we had to ask for the check three times. The food was passable, but it didn't taste very fresh. It seemed like they prepare the food on the premises, but store it in the back before serving it to customers.

This restaurant in midtown is the go-to spot for a business casual lunch. Reservations are usually not necessary if you arrive by 11:45, but it may be risky after 12pm depending on the day or season. The lunch specials are consistently excellent and the staff is always friendly.

I highly recommend visiting this restaurant! The sushi was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. We enjoyed everything we ordered.

Love that the restaurant is under street level. The atmosphere was great, and the food was even better! Can’t wait to come back.

Amazing sushi (objectively speaking, but especially for the price! I had the Omakase dinner which was easily 10/10. Even stuff that I usually don’t like, I LOVED . Service was unfortunately slow, although friendly.
