La Tavola - New Stanton

Very good food and service, 4 stars only because of the limited menu.

The house salad was the best part of the meal. I ordered Chicken Parmigiana and the chicken tasted like rubber- as if it had been frozen for two months then thawed. Terrible. The sauce could have been out of a jar. The food was over priced for the quality. My husband's dinner was better but easily could have been from Applebee's at half the price.The hostess acted as if she was doing us a favor by seating us and taking our reservation. The tables had beautiful white clothes but the hostess was dressed as if she was going to clean her basement. The young man filling our water and clearing the dishes was very professional. The waitress was eager to get out of there and not very interested in serving us dessert, so we didn't stay. Forced fake smiles didn't help either. We did leave her a 20% tip regardless. Three tables of people. It is as if they don't want the business. I normally don't write any bad reviews, but I thought I might save someone else from an awful experience. BTW you can't just walk in, have to call for reservations.

Not very good banana peppers, and the chicken was drowning in oil, over priced IMO. Not a good experience at all. The service was good but that's about it. On top of that you can't walk in for service you have to reserve a table. You get there and there are several tables open and only 3 to 4 different parties being served.

Peppers were lacking in taste. Bread was stale. Chicken was buried in oil. Terrible all around except for service. For the price I expected much more then a fancy fizzolis.
