Jamaica Choice Caribbean Cuisine

My family loved this place. My son who eats only simple hamburgers or chicken fingers and is appalled by everything that sketched the coconut chicken and loved it. Everyone ordered something different and we all ate each other's plates. The server wasn't chatting. No “Hi I am Chad and I will be your server tonight. Our specials are blah blah blah.” No “Do you still work on it?” I prefer that.

I was only here twice in the course of a year while I visited family in New Paltz. This is the only place where I had Jamaican food, so I have to compare it, but I enjoyed the food here very much. We have the rice and plantains. It's like a house cooked food. The restaurant was usually clean (and empty both times, but it does not seem much space for larger parties. Customer service was just okay. I didn't know what Ackee was, so I asked the server. He said it was a Jamaican fruit. I asked him how it was prepared (what spices? was it sweet? is it hot/cold?, etc. but I don't think he understood me because he just looked confused and said it's hard to explain. . I just selected another menu item, but I was frustrated because I would like to try new things in new restaurants. The prices are cheap and the food is delicious. Customer service is missing.

Good quality for the price of the different menu items. Flavorful food served in a timely way. Several vegetarian vegan options. A good selection of cocktails available. The server was very friendly, attentive to the order, but did not circulate to check on our table.
