La Placita - New Brunswick

I ordered pork chops with rice to-go during my lunch break at work, and I was greeted with an unpleasant surprise. The pork chops were severely undercooked, which is quite dangerous to eat. That was just the beginning. When I took a bite of the rice, I was hit with an awful smell. At first, I thought it might be something else, but no—the rice was spoiled. It had a mushy texture and a rancid odor. I even googled to confirm that the rice was indeed rotten. While I can understand an occasional mishap with undercooked pork, serving spoiled rice is entirely unacceptable. I returned to the restaurant to demand a refund, and the woman in charge was apologetic and promptly returned my money. Overall, I don't know what's happening with this place; it's definitely not up to its former standards. At this point, I won't be coming back. I almost took a picture of the disgusting pork chop, but the smell of the rice made me gag. I can only give this place two stars because they apologized and refunded my money.

I absolutely love this place because it offers both Tlayudas and Pizza. It's a wonderfully unique combination!

The bread for the torta was perfectly toasted and buttered, and it really tasted like they baked it from scratch, which was a fantastic bonus. The portion sizes were generous as well. I've always loved Mexican cuisine, but this experience took it to another level. The lengua quesadillas were out of this world—well-prepared, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection! Plus, everything included fresh avocado, not the blackened or sour ones you often find at other places. I can see myself coming here three times a week, if not more! And did I mention they also serve pizza? As you can tell, I’m a food lover. I highly recommend stopping by and treating your taste buds!
