Sushi In The Raw - Nevada City

It's not your usual sushi joint. They don't serve a big tuna. It is endangered and full of heavy metals. What they do is the freshest fish available anywhere, unless you caught it yourself. Go without expectations and enjoy a surprising evening.

The best sushi I've ever eaten! It's even better than some sushi I ate while I'm Japan. All they serve is excellent and the staff is so friendly. It's our favorite restaurant, hands down.

That could be the best sushi I've ever eaten, and I was at many sushi places. It is definitely a higher end sushi restaurant regarding higher food quality, lower food quantity, better and more diverse ingredients, more elegant presentation and higher price... but it is a rewarding experience! For examples: your green tea comes with a small side of roasted brown rice to put in it (I think that 's a traditional Japanese practice, but it was great and I have never seen that done anywhere else. They had an appetizer with thinner Sashimi pieces in different truffle oils... very delicious! Some of the nigiri had already placed green onion and ginger on the fish to make a beautiful presentation. They also offered cooked fish heads... which I didn't dare to try, but the couple did next to us, and it looked honestly delicious. We also had spoons mixed like a kind of poke with rice, sauces and spices. A small dish but delicious! Anyway, I think I found my new favorite sushi place in NorCal safe!

The best SUSHI I EVER HAD!! I mean, everything is wonderful, definitely one of my favorite places so far in Nevada City. And the environment was spectacular and really good service HIGHLY ECOMMENDED when you go to the area and have some Sake and some drunken shooters

I've been wanting to try this place for a really long time! It was our anniversary so we took our chance and unplanned decided to go. Thank goodness there was a cancellation because we got in! It was so so good! The service was over the top! Very friendly staff and sociable. They constantly filled our drinks to the top and gave us excellent table service! If you like sushi I recommend this place! But if you want to definitely go here I definitely recommend a reservation. We just got lucky! :
