Mercearia Na Tabua - Nazare

I had the feeling that the staff were making fun of us. My food was ok but nothing special as I have much better sardine dishes in Portugal in the past. The friend with me was however pleased with his choice.

Go there if you can! My partner and I had a scrumptious selection of tapas tuna, and avocado, fine ham and goats cheese, spicy black pudding and anchovies, followed by a shared smoked salmon salad of crisp, tangy leaves. Accompanied by a glass of Vinho Verde for me and a beer for him, followed by a Vinho da Porto. A superb meal and quality we didn’t expect to find, with courteous and knowledgeable owners in a charming little bar: incredible value!

We were walking around the beach strip looking for a place to eat and randomly ate here and it turned into one of our favorite restaurants in Portugal! The owners were very nice and we had the tuna tartare, grilled sausages, filet with garlic herb sauce and mozzarella with tomato and basil. Everything was very delicious and a beautiful view of the ocean
