La Stella Trattoria - Nanaimo

We stumbled across LaStella on our weekend away in NanaimoLuckily we got a spot at the bar because they had a ton of reservations.

Wonderful everything! Service, food, ambianceCame in for dinner and had a truly fantastic experience.

The restaurant was great! Nice variety of menu itemsCould be a little less salt in some of the itemsDesserts were all amazing.

Went here based off the reviews. Was looking to have a nice romantic dinner. We made reservations. We were given a table beside a very loud group. We couldn't even here our hostess talking. There were other tables they could have moved us too. We complained about the noise and her response was. Well there leaving soon. Then the food came it was cold and not good at all. Never going back here.

Can't even drum up a bad thing to say about this hoppin' place! Excellent food prepared with integrity and passion. Truly a gem in this town! Carpaccio, Pizza, Frutti del Mare (!) , Gnocchi all exceptional. Waft of wood fire as your food is being cooked is amazing! Service was great. They support local farmers too ;)
