I chose the veggie sandwich with zucchini, tomaten, arugula, marinara and smoked tofu (from the non-vegan pesto). the thin slices of smoked tofu felt like I was eating a really good blt. the sandwiches are large, but they can also add kartoffels, a sidealat suppe or (which is occasionally vegan). they also have a vegan breakfast package that has discarded tofu.
Could not make five stars because it is not completely veg, I think, but the vegan breakfast pack and the muffins were sooo delicious. also had a chai latte with milk, also delicious. we picked up the ferry and it's a good thing that we did as it took a few minutes to cook the breakfast packages. the package was $13, which wasn't super cheap imo, but I don't regret it because it was delicious. there is also a small vintage shop in the back, and single-stand washing rooms.
The caffe itself has a very cool mood, but unfortunately there are limited vegan options as far as the food goes. it is a good place to stop for a drink! updated by the previous review on 2021-05-31 updated by the previous review on 2021-05-31
Only three vegan options in the menu, apart from the daily suppe with something happy. Eating was ok, but nothing amazing. personal was friendly and helpful
This place is absolutely fabulous. I've never encountered such a cafe with such an amazing atmosphere. The design elements they've incorporated are truly fantastic. My husband and I had a wonderful time there.Interestingly, we were originally on our way to Starbucks when we stumbled upon this incredible place. I ordered a large latte, which was quite good, and my husband opted for a brewed coffee. He really enjoyed his coffee, so much so that he decided to order another. When he approached the counter to place the order, the lady working there told him that refills were only $1. That was truly amazing, and it's an experience we've never had before in Vancouver.
