We stumbled on this place and we were so glad we did. The owner greeted us personally and explained the menu. Service was top notch and the food itself was wonderfully cooked. For a small bistro we were very impressed and would recommend it to anyone.
Tried out this restaurant with a large group late on Saturday night. The owner was gracious and accommodating, and his wife was playing the ukulele and singing! Immediately charmed, we all wanted to love this place. For the most part, we did - the drinks were very good, and the service (from the owner) was super friendly. The food was fine, though the tomato risotto was a bit bland and the burger was good but nothing to write home about. I can't stress this enough though - it was still very much worth a visit, as the owner's passion and dedication really came through. I would definitely come here again!
Great place to go actually experience a meal...that doesn't happen often at the price range. Local food, great chef who's passion for what he cooks translates into his meals.
We just went to Fiddlehead bistro on a date night and were really impressed- we will be back!I didn't notice a vegetarian entree on the menu so I asked the server and the chef came out and gave us several options. The buddha bowl was so yummy! It had an variety of fresh local produce (including salt marsh sea asparagus, salicornia,) fried tofu, rissotto and a really yummy mild and fruity dressing. My husband really enjoyed his steak as well as a dessert with fried bannock. Having moved here from Vancouver earlier this year we are still trying out local restaurants. Fiddlehead is now among our favourites so far. We also enjoyed Christina's on the Lake and Mahle House.
