Previously we have received good food from here but the last two orders have been very poor. Definitely our last experience with Da Tang. Did they change ownership or get a new Chef?
I really hate to say but the food was terrible and the service was very poor. Chicken chow mein was salty and came with some COLD strips of PROCESSED chicken on top. My friend ordered chicken egg foo yung which was bland and had virtually no chicken.
We ordered seafood chow mein and stir-fry gai lan take-out. Very nice young man taking order. Food was hot and tasty. Just keep in mind that these are Covid times. They have lots of take-out orders. Phone ahead. Give them extra time. We would order from them again.
Twice we ordered delivery and twice we were totally satisfied. We had simple stuff chicken chowmein, beef chop suey, sweet and sour pork and Szechuan beef. All delivered within an hour and delicious.
Do NOT order the BBQ duck which was 'off ' and at least 3 days past cooking. I had to throw it out and resented that because it was $19. Also do not order the supposed to be scallop flavoured fried rice with egg white. It was dry and no better nor flavourful than a basic steamed rice. I have been ordering here for years, including these two dishes. I guess standards have slipped a lot. Will not go again until I can be there in person to inspect the dishes ordered.
