Yummy's Cafe - Mulgrave

There's nothing here that you couldn't make at home and with more skill. Menu items are fairly bland and you get the impression that nobody there really cares about what they're doing.

Had breakfast this morning and the food was lovely. I had Sausages and egg on toast and my wife had eggs Benedict. My son had strawberry pancakes. The Staff were very friendly.

Have been there many times and the staff are always friendly, the coffee always very nice coffee and there is always today's newspaper to read!

Although decor and location is good, they obviously have serious issues with customer focus, customer service and staff competence. We ordered breakfast and coffee and asked where our order was after there was three orders made after us were served first. When our orders finally arrived, one meal arrived when the other one was nearly finished. In both cases the meals were not hot nor was the coffee. Although the staff member was very apologetic there was no apparent attempt to identify and focus on the issues. The best thing to say about this place is eat elsewhere.

Sat at sticky table that had bench seat with join in the middle so you had to sit either side of the join, so I moved. Ordered tea and borek. The milk had 6 little black flecks in it so I asked for fresh milk. Got an argument from the waitress who said its always like that. I asked " you always have dirt floating in the milk?" The borek was tough to cut and had no flavour. The Cafe is modern looking with appetising food and cakes and a takeaway section. The staff are friendly. The place is busy and reasonably priced. Just needs more attention to detail.
