Eating was in order. samosa is obviously too home, but too much baked. Starter menu a bit limited. the waiter thought it was funny that I wanted my jalfrezi very hot and continued to return to check how I arrived (I know that the German is not really...do hot curry). good portion sizes. pretty good, but not especially.
Service was not good, felt very unfriendly. lunch was okay, not special. the price was good. would not go again.
There recently with some colleagues, as we were very hungry, we ordered some dishes and told the server manager that we would order more items in a few minutes while he could start preparing. but, the person very...rudely said that I only serve them when they order a minimum euro amount and looked totally uninterested in serving. we wanted to make him understand that we would order for more than the said order easily. but he wanted the job to lie ahead and only then would ask for the food to be prepared. eating was above average, but the service was pathetic. not only recommended for the behavior of the person. (the amount of the invoice was above its threshold)
Dinner started off with a wait, a long one and I had to wait for around mins for my food to come. Ye it was busy but even at max capacity the majority of Indian restaurant I have been to still serve food mins especially that since I ordered veg food it should be delivered quicker. But alas the food did come and yes though it was good it was definitely not worth waiting up to an hour for. The Shai planner I ordered was nice, flavourful and creamy but for euros a small portion with only small paneer pieces not good value. The mix veg sabzi however was not good at all, as the vegetables were all raw and very unseasoned especially since a mix veg usually contains cauliflower and pototaes both of which were not present at all. But what made the day however was the naan as it was amazing. Fluffy throughout with a bit of crunch and unlike other naans ive had as it's not drenched in grease. The tandoor that they used is very good and makes a perfect authentic naan that is good value at euros. Yes though the food was nice and flavorful for euros a curry a but in the expensive side and not worth the wait. However the location is great right in the city centre and the staff though slow at giving the food, were working really hard as they were constantly drenched in sweat walking around nonstop waiting on the customers, a huge lot of respect goes to the staff for they effort. If you are around the city centre and craving some flavourful Asian cuisine then I definitely recommend you come however don't be surprised if the food takes some time to be served.
