This place was just okay. They mix some South American things with Spanish food. Salsa on tortilla for example. There is guacamole and some other non Spanish things. Food was fine and service was good. If your nearby it is worth it
Arrived in Munich Sunday late afternoon for a few days worth of business meetings. Expecting to find few options for dinner much to my surprise El Español was open just about 10 min walk from the hotel. Excellent seafood dinner with a couple glasses of...Rioja, cannot beat that anywhere.
Good option for having Spanish food in Munich. The staff is friendly and the quality of food good... not an extraordinary place but an worth try. We had “Shrimps grilled oil garlic” and “Shrimps El Español” style. See the photos. :
This Spanish restaurant is around for quite a few years and is not particularly cosy or stylish. The menu offers a good and typical Spanish selection at reasonable prices. However, the very fresh tapas are slightly overpriced, and I definitely prefer the paella with short...grain rice. The major flaw is the service, which is not particularly knowledgable and certainly not attentive. Occassionally, the patron roams around with seemingly no interest in his guests. Still, not a bad Spanish restaurant and we will probably return.
