A local market that's filled with food of all sorts. A market for locals and tourists with lots to offer. Worth a walk around. Besides pickles, cheese, all sorts of fresh fruits, meats, cold cuts, and wine, you can sit in many of the food outlets, cafe for beer and cooked food. We tried some fried prawns, pork knuckle and fries. Lots of souvenir stalls as well. Closes around 6pm.
Busy pleasant environment in the market. Hard to find a table, but we did that successfully. Even harder to find a waiter to take an order. The waiter was very busy but brushed us off in a brusque way, so we left after about 15 minutes and found somewhere else nearby, which was a pity as the food looked really good. A contrast to the friendly hospitality we found elsewhere.
It was fun to sit there and have a meal, watch all the people, and listen to the music. It was a pretty day so there were a lot of people there. Everyone seemed to be having fun. A great place to just hang out.
This is a traditional German Biergarten. This was one of the best meals of our trip. Bier was amazing. Schnitzel was cooked perfectly and piping hot. Not a bug to bother us. Weather was amazing. Service was a bit lacking. Cash only, just FYI. People watching was fantastic as well. Just steps away from St. Peters and the Marienplatz. Great place to go for that Biergarten feel. We'll be back!
