I ordered a pork version, but I honestly only counted 3 pieces of nail-sized pork. Nice deep flavour though.<br/ <br/ The jjampong seafood noodles had an amazing soup. Base vegetables of onion and zucchini were charred, which added another level of flavour to the seafood broth. There were lots of squid and huge juicy mussel. <br/ <br/ The mini boiled dumplings were a tad disappointing though. Filled with mushy and watery pork and vegetables, it didn't have much flavour.<br/ <br/ Great local find for Korean-Chinese food though!
Nice, cozy, family friendly restaurant. Always busy full of Koreans. This is always a good sign that the food is good. Bulgogi beef rice was delicious. Sweet sour pork was a favourite too! Eaten at the restaurant ordered takeout. Always good.
We came here for lunch today , had been looking up to Korean food for a while . We had the set including the sweet and sour pork , prawn fried rice and Koran ja jang myeon . Love everything we ordered , especially the ja jang myeon, it’s kind of sweet and salty , full of flavor. Hubby’s favorite is the fried rice . Looking forward to come back to try other dishes soon .
The Korean-style Chinese food here is quite good. The quality and quantity are better than the more famous Korchi. The spicy seafood noodle soup, or 짬뽕, is tasty but could use a bit more spice. The large share plate of black bean noodles is even better than the traditional version. If you visit for lunch, they offer a set menu featuring the large share plate of black bean noodles (쟁반 짜장면) and sweet and sour pork, which is enough to feed at least three people. I highly recommend that set!
At first glance, the portions seemed quite small, but we ultimately couldn’t finish our meals. The Chicken Kkhan Pung Gi was my personal favorite. With my first bite, I was hit by a wave of sweetness, quickly followed by a delightful kick. The spicy and numbing aftertaste was incredibly strong, and I absolutely loved it. I can only imagine how even better it would taste dining in. As for the Beef Bulgogi Rice, it was different from the usual bulgogi. It had a wonderful wok hei (charred aroma) that was surprisingly impressive!
