Pyung Chang Korean Bbq - Mount Vernon

We dined at a restaurant where we used a grill table. We ordered the combo for three people, which was more than enough to feed all four of us. In addition, we also ordered the dumpling soup and crab gyoza, both of which were the best I have had. The meat from the combo was very good, although the pork could have been better.

The service at this restaurant used to be great and the servers were friendly during our previous visits. However, our most recent experience was strange and unpleasant. The food was good, but when we asked for a takeout box, the server seemed offended and even threw it under the table. We were friendly throughout our visit, but her attitude changed completely when we mentioned taking our leftovers home. It was confusing and rude, making us reconsider returning in the future. Overall, our previous visits were enjoyable, but this last one left a bad taste in our mouths.

Every place we visit starts off with 5 stars, and they either maintain all five stars or lose them based on their performance. I must say, it was a very happy day when I was impressed by the exceptional wait staff at this restaurant. Our waitress went above and beyond to accommodate my disabilities and provided extensive knowledge about the menu. She even catered to my husband's love for spicy food. The prices were reasonable, with options like shrimp tempura and chicken teriyaki for the same cost as a meal at a fast food chain. The chicken teriyaki was especially delicious, not too sweet and very tender. My husband enjoyed the spicy pork bulgogi with a generous portion of pork and beautiful side dishes. The server even provided extra spicy sauces for him to try. The restaurant was family-friendly and had a romantic atmosphere, with great window seating and clean bathrooms. We were so pleased with the service that we left a 25% tip and will definitely be returning to explore more of the menu.

This place is fantastic! The atmosphere is great, the service is exceptional, and the food is amazing! I would definitely come back here again and again!
