Jake's - Mount Vernon

The food was excellent, and everyone in my group was pleased with their meal. However, the atmosphere left something to be desired due to the old carpet, and I really hope the kitchen is cleaner than the restrooms. On a positive note, the service was outstanding, and the waitstaff were friendly and attentive.

The waitress was incredibly friendly, and the young staff who greeted us were just as pleasant. The food that other diners were enjoying looked delicious, and we ordered a dough mushroom that was absolutely amazing. I was fortunate to have the Mac n Cheese and sweet potato fries, which were both excellent. Overall, I had a fantastic lunch with my companion, Dave, and two of the best preachers around.
