Foxfire Mountain House - MOUNT TREMPER

Where do we start? This place is a dream. My wife and I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding here recently and completely fell in love. The couple had the rehearsal dinner the night before which we documented and then the wedding ceremony the next day. There's so many opportunities here for great imagery with the historic home anchoring the space perfectly. To make things even better, the staff are really easy to work with and provided us with food and everything we needed on the day. Home is in LA for us, but really hoping we find our way back here someday.

My husband and I just had our wedding weekend at Foxfire and it was a truly unforgettable weekend. The amazing staff (specifically Bridget, Sam, Chris and Matt) made it so perfect. It was an absolute dream come true. Thank you for opening your home to our friends and family. The food, music and ambiance was just perfect. I feel like a thank you isn’t even enough to express our gratitude. We will be back soon!!

We all know that your child’s weddings are special , exciting and when we start to plan it …it is always complicated,because all parents want their way and kids want their way for sure! Our daughter and her fiancé (our son now ? found this place while camping at that area and loved it from the first look. They said they found the place for the wedding, it was everything they wished for. It was a lot of planning, talking, arguing, excited moments before we finally came to our Wedding weekend!Can you imagine that family and close friends can come on Friday have a very planned wedding rehearsal , rehearsal dinner,and also stay there till what ever you want, go sleep, wake up in the morning…. Come downstairs and breakfast is served from 8-10 for all your quests. Not to mention that bride and groom are having their own cottages with their friends!!!!We are parents, and we should take care of everything for our kids, right? But when you are there, Foxfire mountain staff is taking care of everything , you don’t even need to worry , especially on the wedding day!You woke up doing some exercises, yoga with you friends, everyone doing their thing, just only remembering that breakfast from 8-10, lunch at 12, and be ready by 4, for the real wedding!Girls are doing they stuff (hair, makeup for sure, dressing , it takes 4 hours at least ? , boys are doing their (eating, drinking, playing, and getting dressed for 5 minutes ? And the final is the wedding… everything is great as planned!!!! You are choosing food, drinks, music… but the stuff is doing incredible job to guide everyone and everything!Absolutely incredible experience we had. Our second daughter said that she want her wedding at the same place and the same way. Foxfire absolutely exceededour expectations and we will most definitely be coming back. We recommend this place to absolutely any and everyone. Thank you so much to the staff for making the wedding of my first born daughter so amazing. If I could give more than five stars I would my husband and I had our wedding at Foxfire and to say it was perfect would be an understatement. The dreamy, rustic but chic interior of the inn is rivaled only by the absolutely stunning, lush greenery surrounding it. We were so lucky to have the entire place to ourselves and to call it home during our wedding celebration. But more than the completely perfect aesthetic, it was the people who made our weekend more spectacular than we could have ever imagined. Bridget, Chris and the entire Foxfire crew made sure that we did not worry about a single detail during the wedding weekend as well as in the days and months leading up to it. Because I was a very particular and detail oriented bride (code for fussy and a little annoying), I was sure that the team could not be THAT good and I would still need to quality control certain things and double check that our details were set up in accordance with our vision. I was 100% wrong about that the team went above and beyond what I was expecting and I, even with my fastidious (annoying) tendencies, was absolutely blown away. I of course appreciated their attention to detail and perfect execution but was even more touched by their warmth and kind heartedness. Do we need reserved signed for seats? They already have them set up. My grandmother needs a pillow for the back of her chair? They jumped on it; and one for grandpa too. We might need additional baskets for centerpieces? They 've not only supplied baskets that match our aesthetic perfectly but they 've already set it up beautifully. And the FOOD the team helped us design our perfect menu from top to bottom with a sky 's the limit attitude that was consistent throughout our planning. In an industry where 99% of vendors and professionals tell you no , Foxfire genuinely wants to say yes and find a way to execute even the craziest little things that pop up in your head.This is all to say that everyone at Foxfire is incredible at their jobs but they execute the same with unbelievable thought and passion. These people CARE and it shows. We feel so blessed to reflect on all the joy and love we experienced during our wedding weekend and it would not have been possible without our Foxfire Family!

We stayed at FoxFire from Sunday to Tuesday after seeing a Chronogram article. It was fabulous, just as described in the write-up. The rooms and common areas were cozy, romantic, well kept, and the service was exceptional. The breakfasts and dinners couldn't have been better. We will definitely go back.Rooms: 5/5
