Rooms with Mountain View are lovely. Après-ski in the common area with Dj, board games and drinks. Nice for a quick weekend getaway.
Awesome stay!5 min drive away from Hunter Mountain. The service staff was accommodating to our needs. The room was clean and well designed with its upstate vibe. I would recommend coming here for your next trip to Catskills. The main lounge is well decorated and has a cozy charm. It’s decked out with bookshelves, desks, an indoor fireplace, comfy seats, and a billiards table. The outdoor dry sauna is a bit small and not as hot as I would preferred. It could use some work. The outdoor fireplaces are great for smores and meeting the other guests. We went when it was freezing outside, so not many people were out. Nonetheless, great vibes.
I have been anticipating this trip for weeks. I read quite a few poor reviews, but that didn’t change our mind in booking our weekend getaway here. I truly believe people will find a single flaw and not look at the entire picture. Honestly, some people are just never happy. Yes, there are a couple flaws, but that doesn’t mean I cannot give this place 5 stars. The 2 flaws include the price which of course is up there, HOWEVER, you get what you pay for! A beautiful view of the mountain and a number of great amenities. Second, the walls are thin, so we could hear our neighbor talking, but luckily they went to bed around the same time we did. These are a few of the amenities: ice skating rink, pool, sauna, s’mores by the fire, a personalized welcome kit, 24 hour service, and a cozy common room with games, a pool table, and fire. We also brought our dog, which having a dog friendly hotel is a HUGE plus for us so we do not have to board her somewhere. There was even a welcome kit for our dog which included a bandana, treats, dog bags, and a toy!The restaurant attached was exceptional, but I’ll leave a separate review for it.A few more things to add. The staff was kind and attentive. There is no daily room cleaning (I’m assuming because of COVID), but if we wanted our room cleaned then all we had to do was request it. Parking is included and a close walking distance. The rooms are cozy and the bed is pretty comfortable. The shower is a rainfall so I of course immediately loved it.I would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful place, but quite the racket. 20% gratiuty included for ordering drinks at the bar, even when ordering multiple rounds, is as obnoxious as It comes. Tried to speak the restaurant manager, however the conversation was incredibly unpleasant.
