Why did I not find it earlier! coffee is also good and the smiles are infectious. (or maybe this is just the happy children and coffee working in peace for me.
Great place for a coffee and a snack. the workers are very pleasant and know how to make a great coffee.
I am a certified coffee snob but I know I can get a great coffee here just about every time. I can say this with authority having been here just about ever day for the last 18 months. The staff are great and make the visit absolutely worthwhile- they actually take an interest in who you are and what is happening in your life. The snacks and afternoon tea ideas are great too. I buy the beans. Yeah, like any place if it is super busy (and it can be on some days) then you will have to wait. If you are interested in how beans are roasted then its well worth asking about when they are roasting and learning more about roasting profiles. They are happy to accommodate. Good for kids as its next to the swings and definitely dog friendly.
I have visited this cafe several times between March 2013 and May 2016, and occasionally since that time. During these first few years of trading, the cafe was well staffed, very friendly, happy, and busy with customers at most lunchtimes, with a great atmosphere. I especially enjoyed having tasty food and drinks while listening to nice pop music on the stereo, or watching the National Geographic channel on the TV. Sadly the general vitality of this premises seems to have declined in recent months, and it is possibly not improved by another cafe with a larger floor space and wider food and drink choices opening in a nearby suburb. It would be great if the owner/manager could possibly buy and extend the cafe into the restaurant business next door, which appears to have closed down permanently.
Sitting outside on a warm day in the shade, Niugini Arabica is a lovely cafe. Light snacks and cakes are the consumables to go with the coffee which is smooth, but a little on the weak side for me. It is nice to see wattle birds rather than aggressive magpies as you look out from the table towards the big gum trees, and yes, the carpark which is quite quiet. They cater for groups (a group of 10 was there when I was) and table inside (air conditioned) as well as out. The free WiFi was quite good too. The staff are really nice and add to the experience of being there. Good place to catch up with friends, though no larger meals, salads etc here.
