Located on the top floor of the mounties club, bistro East/West serves a good selection of food that is sure to also please the most picky eater. their menu ranges from seafood, from grill to burgers to to nachos. there are also some tempting dessert options displayed in their window. when we had eaten both grilled meat yesterday evening, my partner chose the mixed grill, while I chose the scotchfilet with chips, maische and a side of the diane sauce (both ordering with meat cooked medium naturally rare). we also have a plate of nachos to share. the food proportions are generous (if we know that they were so big, we would have made the nachos a mistake) and the customer service...read more
Located on the upstairs floor of the Mounties club, Bistro East/West serves up a good variety of food that is sure to please even the pickiest eater. Their menu ranges from seafood, to meat off the grill to burgers to even nachos. There is also some tempting dessert options displayed at their window. Considering we were both craving grilled meat last night, my partner opted for the mixed grill whilst i opted for the scotch fillet stead with chips, mash and a side of Diane sauce (both orders with meat cooked medium rare of course). We also got a plate of nachos to share. Food portions are generous (had we known they'd be so big we would have given the nachos a miss) and customer service is good. We didnt have to wait too long to recieve our food and we were seated pretty much immediately on arrival. All the food we ordered tasted great. The steaks were cooked well and exactly how we expected them to be when we ordered medium rare, there was a bit too much fat on the meat though but once i cut it off the steak was enjoyable. The restaurant also has really nice decore and ambience, making for a pleasant dining experience. All in all, Bistro East/West was a good change considering we always dine downstairs at Bau Truong. We'll most likely return in future.
