Asahi Teppanyaki Japanese Restaurant

From a parent point of view, the food (teppanyaki meal) was not abundant and we added to it with extra menu items. Was expensive for what you got, but the experience was worthwhile. We had an entertaining chef and the wait staff were very attentive. It was a special night out for our daughter and the bottom line is that she had a great time.

Very underwhelmed by my visit last night. The food was very basic for the cost. The hot plate burnt the food that all the food had the same lingering taste right the way thru. Definitely not worth a second visir.

Brilliant night out. Table of 6 adults who had the banquet and 3 children (5 years, 3 years and 2 years) who had al acarte. Incredible family friendly service. Children were included in the fun. Adults were served delicious food. Wait staff were attentive. Look forward to returning! !! Flinders was our chef and Amanda the wait staff... Very impressed!

What a fun night. Food was great service excellent. Children had some much fun. Adults also great family night.

We'd brought our children (aged 13, 11 and 8.5) here earlier this year and they had a great time: this time, we also brought my wife's 90 year old grandfather and his 88 year old sister, who'd come out from Scotland to visit him. Both times the chef has done a great job for catering for my lactose intolerant son, and while our older folk took part in everything, the chef definitely went easy on them - the bowls of fried rice, for example, were spun horizontally rather than rotating end over end.The whole night is light hearted, friendly and consistent - definitely more for a bit of fun rather than serious Japanese food or a fine dining experience.
